Folding Stock

It is designed for use with all types of AR variants featuring a buffer and an action spring and rifles with a 5.56mm through .308mm caliber.

1. GET PREPARED FOR THE INSTALLATION

(Hinge Bolt (10) should not be removed from parts (1) and (1a)).

To remove the Side Plate Cover (2), use a 9/64 Allen Wrench. On the receiver side of the Hinge Assembly (1), remove the Side Plate Cover (2). The Button Spring (3) and Button (4) should be separated from the Hinge Assembly (1) after the plate cover has been removed.

2. REMOVE THE STOCK ASSEMBLY

Be sure to engage the safety before unloading the weapon! To remove the buffer tube (receiver extension) from the receiver, remove the stock, the buffer, and the action spring from the buffer tube. Be careful not to lose the take-down pin spring and detent when removing the stock and tube from the receiver.

3. INSTALL THE ADAPTER

Place the Hinge Assembly (1) on the rear of the firearm's receiver while the Button Spring (3), Button (4),, and Threaded Flange (5) are still separated. Place the Hinge Assembly (X) protrusion over the take-down pin spring and align it with the receiver's index indentation as on an A2 stock. The Threaded Flange (5) should be screwed into the firearm's receiver while holding the Hinge Assembly in place. In order to firmly secure the Hinge Assembly to the receiver, the cut-outs on the Threaded Flange (5) allow the included Flange Tool (8) to be used. The Flange Tool (8) will flex when the torque has been applied properly. Reinstall the Button (4) and the Button Spring (3) into the Hinge Assembly. Using a 9/64 Allen Wrench, reinstall the Hex Screw (6) after covering the Button Spring (3) with the Side Plate Cover (2).

4. INSTALL THE STOCK

Flange Set Screw (7) must be tightened with a 3/32 Allen Wrench when the folding stock adapter is tightly installed on the receiver. Make sure it is snug, but do not overtighten it. On the stock side of the hinge assembly (1a), one can now install the buffer tube assembly (receiver extension). Ensure that your Buffer Retaining Pin and Buffer Retaining Spring are installed on the stock side of the Hinge Assembly as they would normally be installed on the receiver. In the same manner, as you would install a buffer tube and stock onto a rifle receiver, attach the buffer tube and stock to the Hinge Assembly (1a).

5. BUFFER AND ACTION SPRING INSTALLATION

Fold open the stock by pushing the Button (4) of the folding stock adapter once the buffer tube and stock have been installed. When the stock is folded, you can see the inside of the buffer tube, so you need to push the buffer and action spring into the buffer tube, overriding the buffer retaining pin. As in a normal rifle, the upper and lower receivers are separated when the buffer and action springs are folded over and held in place by the buffer retaining pin.

6. BOLT CARRIER EXTENSION INSTALLATION

Press and hold the button (4) with the stock folded. The bolt carrier group should now protrude from the back of the receiver after you pull the charging handle. It is now possible to insert the Bolt Carrier Extension (9) into the rear of the bolt carrier group. You can ease installation by turning the bolt carrier extension as you insert it. Ensure that the Bolt Carrier Extension is inserted fully, up to the first shoulder. When the Bolt Carrier Extension (9) / Bolt Carrier group is installed, depress the button (4) and push it back into the receiver and battery. When the button (4) is released, the Bolt Carrier Extension / Bolt carrier group will be held in place. Reverse the process above to remove the Extension. The Hinge Screw (10) should be tightened using a 1/8 Allen Wrench. The hinge tension will be increased and the fire position will be more rigid. Installation in now complete.
